SCANDAL: Suitemates Sent to Honor Council After Faking Roommate’s Death to Get A’s

Finals season is tough, but nothing gets most college students through it like a good friend. By good friend, they really mean the weak link in their suite that they can peer pressure to do whatever they want. This weak link was Chris Lee, known for his stellar graphic design talent unsupported by Emory as it’s a useless creative skill to the institution, but greatly appreciated to the first-years looking for quality fakes. “For fun” one day near the end of the semester, he designed a very believable death certificate using his talents.

One roommate, Steven Spelley told The Spoke, “He was planning on dropping out anyways, might as well put it to good use.” Based on Emory University’s policy, if a student dies, the student’s roommate will get A’s due to the trauma. Spelley and the other two roommates reportedly convinced Lee to send his death certificate to the dean instead of dropping out. Lee brought the story to The Spoke because his roommates were “dumb as fuck.” He did exactly as asked and emailed the certificate himself to the dean. As expected, all except for transfer student Lee, who will be going to SCAD in Spring 2020, were sent to Honor Council. Spelley says he’s not worried about the results of the trial because “snitches get stitches.”
