Color-blind students form alliance to protest #bluefence

The construction on Emory’s new CLC for has been slowly but surely causing faculty and students a big pain in the ass. Claire Sterk has personally made sure that the project cause everyone as much inconvenience when walking around campus and getting to classes. However, she has made effort to make light of the situation by promoting it in the absolute best way possible with “#bluefence. “

This colorful movement promotes the color blue, the pigment between green and indigo on the rainbow. Unfortunately, this has not struck a good chord with the color-blind community on campus. Emory’s chapter of KWCSC, the Kids Who Can’t See Color, has a split down the middle, as the red-green colorblind students are in full support, while the blue-yellows are livid.

Club president Hugh DeScolor claims this split “is really not a good sight”, and “Emory needs to be clearer on their visions and motives here.” The group plans to lock arms outside of the fence near the DUC-ling once a week during daytime to formally protest, though they can’t really differentiate between day and night, so that will be something to keep in mind going forward.
