10 Underground SoundCloud Remixes That Will Change How You Perceive Music

Dear loyal reader. It is I, your resident SoundCloud Rapper. I have decided to shift my talents from making my own below average raps to mixing famous people’s successful music. I am now your resident Disc Jockey. One of the pivotal characteristics of song mashups is to seek out songs with a similar BPM (beats per minute for all you non-musically inclined folk). Once you find the optimal songs then you can bring the magic and add your own creative flair.

This article is not a shameless plug for me and my future mashups because I currently have no original content. Rest assured, I am deep in my childhood bedroom mixing. I have instead curated for you 10 amazing and underground remixes. (That means no Big Bootie Mixes 1-17) ((Big Bootie Mix 18 comes out this month, PSA))

*Criteria:
Must have the lyrics of one song superimposed onto a different song’s beat
Must have less than 1M streams on SoundCloud

ISpy Sins Not Tragedies By: NJay

This song is a mashup of iSpy by KYLE Ft. Lil Yachty and I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic! At The Disco. These songs work really well together. My first time listening to it really surprised me. The prelude conversation between KYLE and Lil Yachty sounds great with Panic! At The Disco’s use of the harpsichord and bass.

Eminem vs. Vanilla Ice Ice Baby – The Real Slim Shady By: DJ ZEUS

This song is a mashup of The Real Slim Shady by Eminem and Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. I wish this song was titled The Real Ice Ice Baby. Such a missed opportunity. You would LOVE this song if you really enjoy listening to old white rappers whose rap styles are no longer relevant.

Summertime Sadness x Counting Stars By: Alex Agana

Do I really have to say what songs are mashed up here? Why can’t these SoundCloud DJs take the time to come up with a creative title? Even if it’s just Summertime Stars or Counting Sadness. C’mon. Overall a really solid song, the two songs just click.

X Gon Give It To Ya Maybe By: Chared Clockwork

This song is a mashup of X Gon’ Give It To Ya by DMX and Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. One of the simple pleasures in life is driving with friends and playing this song because their immediate reaction is “awhhhh why Carly Rae Jepsen? Stop trolling us and put back on some good music!” Then the lyrics kick in with “X GON GIVE IT TO YA” and all your friends react like LMAOO what?? The last thing I will say is 0:29-0:32. Enjoy.

You Belong With FEFE By: Vincent Mashups

This song is a mashup of You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift and FEFE by 6ix9ine FT. Nikki Minaj and Murda Beatz. Very much along the same tune as the last one. The initial fake out with that T-Swizzle guitar strum but after about 1.5 seconds you hear “ITS FUCKIN TRAEWAY. KING OF NEW YORK.” Nikki’s verse is exceptional.

Psychosocial Baby By: Zatz

This song is a mashup of Psychosocial by Slipknot and Baby by Justin Bieber. This is the last of my double fake-out mashups where you can really get your friends rolling in laughter. This one accomplishes its intention of surprise and that initial laughter but after 15 seconds of screamo you really want to change the song.

A Sicko Mode Christmas By: eeeeee5

First off, does any DJ name go harder than eeeeee5? This song is a mashup of Sicko Mode by Travis Scott Ft. Drake, All I want For Christmas is You by Mariah Carey, and a remixed rendition of Santa Claus is Coming To Town. This is a song truly worth listening to in its entirety as it matches up extremely well. This is a great song for a lowkey pregame with friends before sending out to meet up with the rest of the group.

I Don’t Wanna Symphony By: EdJorge

Before I truly get into this mashup it is actually by Titus Jones but he only puts his stuff on YouTube so some bloke named EdJorge put it on SoundCloud. This song is a mashup of I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, Heaven By DJ Sammy & Yanou Ft. Do, Photograph By Ed Sheeran, and Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. This song is my absolute favorite mashup. There are way funnier ones out there but this song is the most well done and the most enjoyable that I have discovered.

Turn Down For Farmers By: Jack G

This is an extremely quick song, only 30 seconds to be exact. It is a mashup of Turn Down For What by DJ Snake and Lil Jon and We Are Farmers by Three Loco (a comedy music group made up of Andy Milokanis, Dirt Nasty, and Riff Raff) produced by Diplo. Give it a listen. That is all I can say.

Phantom of the Wapera By: iamvenla AND Wap S&M By: MICKY – D

Now to close off this list I had to hop on the Wap hype and include my two favorite Mashwaps. Was that too forced? Both of these mashups are pretty self explanatory but the first is Wap by Cardi B Ft. Megan Thee Stallion and the Overture from Phantom of the Opera by the man himself, Andrew Lloyd Webber. The second is Wap and S&M by Rihanna. Both go dummy hard but personally I prefer Wap S&M.

Hopefully you found some new songs you can bump to, make your friends laugh with, or begin your foray into the depths of mashup culture on SoundCloud!
