Last week, First Lady Jill Biden visited Emory University Hospital to see for herself the amazing work that was being done for the ‘Biden Cancer Moonshot’ initiative. First Lady Biden had the opportunity to shake the hand of every individual lab member and thank them personally. It was truly an inspiring visit for both the incredible researchers and Dr. Biden.
When The Emory Spoke asked about her night plans after her EUH visit concluded, Jill Biden gave no comment about what was next on her itinerary. However, The Spoke quickly uncovered a private Snapchat story from Robert L. Pee (25B) titled, “States’ Rights n’ My Life,” that Dr. Biden was pregaming at the KA house for a crush party. She was seen doing a keg stand, playing pong, and stressing the importance of supporting our military’s families to a confused rushee. The Spoke has also learned that the theme of the evening was a White Lie party, and found a photo of the first lady in a shirt with the writing “I don’t peg.”
The Spoke caught up with Dr. Biden the next morning. In response to how her night was, Biden responded: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn about the tremendous work being done at Emory University Hospital, as well as the hospitality of the Emory chapter of Kappa Alpha. It was incredible to see that the cure for cancer will be developed by the nice gentlemen who made me watch how many beers they could shotgun in a row. It was a truly inspiring trip.”
