Much like Emory’s school spirit, Hotlanta’s weather this week has been nothing but contradictory to its name. Pouring rain, cold temperatures, and slowly increasing student debt interest casted a gloom over most Emory students’ week, but some people have made the most out of the situation.
After seeing a student fall in the rain and glide several feet, Tina Chandler, a freshman planning on pursuing the engineering dual degree with Georgia Tech, thought of the best case scenario for a campus plagued with bad weather and construction. Using the tarp from the blue fence, Chandler utilized the rain to slip ‘n’ slide to her classes.
The idea came to her as a helpful technique for students who have a tendency of tardiness due to not giving a fuck. When reached for comment, she claimed this innovation would make students actually excited to go to class despite their “looming regrets of coming to a school that’s not even top 20 anymore.”
At press time, class attendance numbers were at an all time low, during which a slip ‘n’ slide olympics were being held on Dickey Drive, Cox Bridge, and the main Quad.
